Winston-Salem, NC – Thabiti Davis, Wide Receivers Coach and Special Teams Coordinator at Winston Salem State University, has been invited to speak at the 2017 NFL-NCAA Coaches Academy held in Tampa, FL on February 9-12.

Davis’ selection as the first attendee to return as a guest (peer-participant) speaker to educate and inform the 2017 program participants was made by Sr. Manager, NFL Player Engagement, Wilfredo Acosta. The purpose of his presentation at this year’s Academy is to provide attendees a perspective of what to expect during their time in Tampa as well as additional steps to take after attending in an effort to build on the momentum of such a great event. Davis will share some of his personal experiences and perspective prior to attending the 2016 Coaches Academy. He will speak to the value of information obtained both, during and after his time as a participant.

“As a participant of the NFL- NCAA Coaches Academy, I believe the experience afforded me a higher level of preparedness and opened the door to having been selected as the Chicago Bears 2016 Bill Walsh Diversity Fellow” said, Coach Davis.
