After a warmer day yesterday, it will turn even warmer today for your outdoor activities with no rain and intervals of sunshine.
Temperatures will rise into the middle 70s, and perhaps make a run toward 80 in parts of the area.
A cool front will move into the Appalachians on Sunday morning. Ahead of this front, clouds will increase, then there is the chance for a few hit-and-miss showers and perhaps a thunderstorm on Sunday, mostly during the afternoon. However, most of the day will probably stay dry in the Triangle as this front will slow down and fall apart to our west.
As a result of the phasing front, warm, moist air will remain in place over Central North Carolina into early next week. The atmosphere might become unstable enough to bring a few spots a shower on Monday afternoon. But there should be a better chance for showers on Tuesday.
Have a great evening!
