Mike Krzyzewski’s 37th season as head coach at Duke yielded 28 victories, an historic run to the ACC Tournament title and the program’s 22nd consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance.The Blue Devils stormed Brooklyn to win their record 20th ACC Tournament championship by becoming the first team ever to win four games in four days.Coach K established ACC records for both tournament wins (61) and tournament titles (14) during the run.Duke earned a No. 2 seed in the NCAA Tournament. The Blue Devils have been a top-three seed an NCAA-best 28 times since 1985, four more than the closest team (Kansas, 24).Duke’s 22 consecutive NCAA Tournament berths mark the second-longest active streak in the nation and the third-longest streak in NCAA history.Coach K, the only men’s coach in Division I history to win 1,000 games overall, will enter the 2017-18 season just two wins shy of his 1,000th at Duke. His 998 wins at Duke are the most in NCAA history by a coach at one school.Coach K will also enter next season needing 28 wins to surpass the late Pat Summit (1,098) as the all-time wins leader in NCAA Division I basketball.The Blue Devils won at least 25 games for the 10th consecutive season.
