Raleigh, N.C. — After days of pouring rain and flooding, the Triangle’s weather will return to clear skies Tuesday night and into Wednesday.

“Wednesday we’re back to sunshine, and it will feel like summer for much of the rest of the week,” WRAL meteorologist Elizabeth Gardner said. “Very quickly we are seeing this precipitation end across the region.”

7-Day Forecast

Wednesday’s temperatures could hit a high of 81, and skies should be partly sunny and clear. The coolest temperatures will be in the northeast of the Triangle, but temperatures will continue to increase.

“Dry air is moving in,” Gardner said. “And the seven-day forecast is looking much, much warmer.

Thursday will be a mix of bright sunshine and a few high clouds with continued warming. Highs should stay in the mid 80s during the day. Overnight Thursday will be partly cloudy with lows in the lower 60s.

Regional Temperatures

Friday’s weather will be partly sunny and warm, with a slight chance of light showers. Highs will remain in the mid to upper 80s, and skies should remain clear overnight with lows in the 60s.

The weekend should bring beautiful weather and sunny skies with temperatures in the mid to high 80s.
