Jack Britt boys’ lacrosse got its first postseason win in program history Wednesday, knocking out Greenville Rose in the first round of the NCHSAA 4-A playoffs.

The Buccaneers (8-6), the No. 17 seed in the East, beat No. 16 Rose (10-7) by a score of 13-12, winning on a goal by Matt Swierkowski with just over a minute to play.

Swierkowski had a team-high six goals in the win.

The Bucs will travel to No. 2 seed Raleigh Broughton (16-0) on Friday for the second round.
