Raleigh, NC– Coming off their first Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) conference victory over Elizabeth City State University, 23-17 last Saturday, the Shaw University football team will look to carry its winning momentum to Fayetteville, N.C. when the Bears clash with Fayetteville State University in a CIAA contest and Southern Division opener on Saturday, Oct. 7 at Luther “Nick” Jeralds Stadium. Kickoff is slated for 1 p.m.

The Series / Last Meeting:
Saturday’s contest will be the 35th meeting between Shaw and Fayetteville State as the Broncos lead the all-time series with an overall record of 17-11-5. The last time these two teams met was on Oct. 6, 2016 in Durham, N.C. where the Bears suffered a 7-6 setback in a rain soaked game.
Statistic-wise, FSU made more plays than the Bears down the stretch.
