SATURDAY REWIND: Florida State 17, Duke 10
Florida State running back Cam Akers scampered 42 yards for a touchdown with 8:23 remaining in the fourth period to lift the visiting Seminoles to a 17-10 win over Duke in front of 31,073 spectators at Brooks Field at Wallace Wade Stadium.

On their final possession, the Blue Devils drove 55 yards to the FSU 30 yard line, but Seminole defensive back Ermon Lane knocked down a Daniel Jones pass in the end zone on the game’s final snap to preserve the victory. Jones finished the day hitting 22-of-35 passes for 204 yards while T.J. Rahming was the top target with eight receptions for 111 yards.

Florida State led 7-3 at halftime and extended the margin to 10-3 late in the third period. Duke responded with a seven play, 75-yard drive to tie the game on Brittain Brown’s nine-yard touchdown run. The drive was highlighted by a 57-yard pass from Jones to Rahming.

Safety Alonzo Saxton II led Duke’s defensive effort with a career-high 15 tackles while Mark Gilbert and Jeremy McDuffie each registered interceptions.
