DURHAM, N.C. – The Duke football team returns to the road this weekend, playing its second night game of the year with a 7:20 p.m. Saturday kickoff at No. 13 Virginia Tech. Live television coverage will be provided by the ACC Network.
SATURDAY NIGHT IN BLACKSBURG
The Blue Devils travel to Blacksburg this week aiming to secure their third consecutive victory in Lane Stadium. In its last two visits, Duke posted wins over the Hokies by scores of 13-10 in 2013 and 45-43 in four overtimes in 2015. Prior to Duke’s two straight wins in consecutive trips to Blacksburg, the last team to win twice in a row in Lane Stadium was Virginia in 1992 and 1994.
This year’s visit will mark a night contest, which redshirt senior defensive tackle Mike Ramsay is excited for.
“I love going there,” Ramsay said. “I love that environment. I’m excited for it. A night game in Blacksburg is going to be crazy.”
Despite being with the Blue Devils for just one season, redshirt senior offensive tackle Evan Lisle is familiar with Blacksburg and its environment.
“I have actually been down there, in my sophomore year at Ohio State, so I was able to experience what it was like,” Lisle said.
