The 38-strong team was revealed in a news conference held Thursday morning (January 11), and also includes Tony Award-winning director Kenny Leon, educator Ron Clark, UPS Chairman and CEO David Abney, and Delta Air Lines CEO Edward Bastian.
“It represents a tremendous amount of diversity and depth and really the best and the brightest in the City of Atlanta,” Bottoms said.
The team will advise the mayor on a range of issues concerning the City of Atlanta, including crime, affordable housing, and improving the city’s education system.
“I really want them to come with fresh ideas and to bring to me their recommendations for best practices in the City of Atlanta based on their varied experience and backgrounds,” Bottoms said. “That’s why it was important for us to have representations across communities in Atlanta.
