Terry Sanford junior Lindsay Bell’s 3-pointer broke a 36-all tie with less than a minute remaining and the Bulldogs held on to beat South View 39-38 in a Patriot Athletic Conference girls’ basketball battle Friday night.

Terry Sanford avenged its only league loss, a 32-31 defeat at South View on Jan. 2.

The win kept the Bulldogs tied with E.E. Smith atop the league standings at 12-1. Terry Sanford is 15-2 overall.

The Tigers, led by Lillian Flantos’ 11 points, are 13-7 overall, 9-4 in league play.

Bell finished with a double-double of 18 points and 11 rebounds.

Imani Elliott added 13 points for Terry Sanford, which has three league games remaining. The Bulldogs will host co-PAC leader E.E. Smith on Feb. 9 in the regular-season finale.
