DJ Ike G DA (Isaiah Griffin)
DJ Ike G DA, born Isaiah Griffin in Fayetteville, North Carolina, is a veteran turntablist, radio host, and entertainment powerhouse dubbed “The Carolina Trendsetter” for his three-decade dominance in the Southern hip-hop scene. Inspired by cousins DJ Tony Tone (San Francisco) and DJ Thunder Child (Cincinnati) to channel his street smarts into music, Ike started spinning in 1995 at age 15, quickly becoming one of the Carolinas’ most in-demand DJs. He’s toured as the official DJ for major acts like SRC/Universal’s Grandaddy Souf, DTP/Def Jam’s Small World, Core Records’ Ray Rizzy, and Mogul Group’s J Bully, while hosting his own weekly show Trendsetter Radio on WCCG 104.5 FM and contributing mixshows to Core DJ Radio on SiriusXM’s Shade 45.
A Core DJs member since the early 2000s, Ike’s accolades include North Carolina DJ of the Year (Carolina Music Awards, 2008), the Jam Master Jay Award (Core DJs, 2008), and Radio DJ of the Year (North Carolina Underground Music Awards, 2009). Known as a “DJ’s DJ” for his versatile sets blending East Coast club, Down South bounce, reggae, and global flavors—honed from coast-to-coast living—he’s a Fayetteville native who champions Carolina unity through events like DJ vs. Artist basketball challenges and paintball leagues. Half of the iconic “Wright Brothers” duo with partner DJ IzzyNice (a nod to the First in Flight brothers), Ike co-hosts Sunday Snacks on WCCG 104.5 (7PM–Midnight), dropping throwbacks, remixes, and live scratches, while releasing mixtapes and collaborating with emerging talents like Dirty Den and Ricky Ruckus. At 45, Ike remains a community force, blending infectious energy with mentorship to elevate the next wave of Southern DJs.
DJ IzzyNice
DJ IzzyNice is the high-octane hype man and master mixer of the “Wright Brothers” DJ duo, a Fayetteville, North Carolina, staple whose razor-sharp transitions and crowd-reading prowess have fueled Carolina nightlife for over 20 years. As the inseparable “partner in crime” to DJ Ike G DA, IzzyNice—real name undisclosed but rooted in the same Fayetteville streets—brings relentless energy to their joint ventures, earning multi-award nods as a Core DJs heavyweight alongside his brother-in-arms.
Rising through the ranks in the early 2000s club circuit, IzzyNice honed his craft opening for legends and building unbreakable synergy with Ike, co-hosting rootsy mixtapes like Life’s A Beach [Bonus Edition] that recapture hip-hop’s golden era with authentic scratches, drops, and storytelling.
