Yung Joc and The Streetz Morning Takeover
The Streetz Morning Takeover is North Carolina’s #1 Hip-Hop morning show (6-10AM on WCCG 04.5 FM), hosted by Yung Joc, Mz Shyneka, and Shawty Shawty. It’s a high-energy mix of the hottest Hip-Hop & R&B, celebrity gossip, viral trending topics, relationship drama (Date Dilemma), wild news (Shawty’s Crazy Report), and non-stop laughs — the unfiltered soundtrack that wakes up the city and the culture every weekday.

Yung Joc
Yung Joc, born Jasiel Amon Robinson on April 2, 1983, in Atlanta, Georgia, is a Grammy-nominated rapper, songwriter, comedian, actor, and radio host who rose to fame in the mid-2000s Southern hip-hop scene. He exploded onto the charts with his 2006 breakout single “It’s Goin’ Down,” produced by Nitti, which peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100, topped the Hot Rap Songs chart, and earned a Grammy nomination for Best Rap Song. Signed to Diddy’s Bad Boy South imprint, Joc released his debut album New Joc City that same year, which hit No. 1 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. Follow-up hits included features on T-Pain’s “Buy U a Drank (Shawty Snappin’)” (No. 1 on the Hot 100 in 2007), David Banner’s “Get Like Me,” and Slim’s “So Fly.”
A staple of Atlanta’s entertainment world, Joc transitioned into reality TV as a main cast member on VH1’s Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta starting in Season 3 (2014), where he became known for his comedic relief, relationship drama, and efforts to revive his music career—appearing through Season 10 and earning a BET Award nomination. He’s also starred in films like Norbit (2007), Step Up (2006), and the 2023 comedy Danksgiving (as co-producer and actor), alongside the 2025 crime drama Allure: Part 1. In radio, he joined Streetz 94.5 in 2017 as host of The Streetz Morning Takeover, transforming it into Atlanta’s top-rated hip-hop morning show and a nationally syndicated hit. A devoted family man and community advocate—volunteering with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta—he married Love & Hip Hop co-star Kendra Robinson in November 2021. Joc continues to release music independently, including 2025 tracks like “What It Do” and the “Box Chevy (Remix)” featuring 501Bryze, while embodying Atlanta’s unfiltered hip-hop spirit.
Mz. Shyneka
Mz. Shyneka, born Shyneka Richardson, is an award-winning Atlanta radio personality, TV host, writer, and entertainment news pioneer with over two decades in the industry, celebrated for her sassy, quick-witted delivery and unapologetic takes on pop culture. A graduate of Lovejoy High School, she began her career in 1999 as an intern at Hot 107.9, quickly rising to afternoon drive host and building a loyal following through her iconic “Word on the Streetz” segment—a fast-paced news roundup blending celebrity gossip, trending topics, and comedic commentary that ran until 2021. Known for viral interviews (like her legendary sit-down with Drake) and empowering young women through mentorship, Shyneka has become a fixture in Southern music and nightlife, networking with A-listers and hosting sold-out events.
Laid off from Hot 107.9 in April 2020 amid pandemic cuts after 20 years, she rebounded swiftly, joining rival Streetz 94.5 in October 2020 as midday host before being promoted to co-host The Streetz Morning Takeover with Yung Joc in January 2021—elevating the show to national syndication. Her TV credits include debuting as host of TV One’s Uncensored after-show in 2019, plus appearances on CBS This Morning, BET, VH1, Fox 5 Atlanta, The Rickey Smiley Show, The Real Housewives of Atlanta, and Dish Nation. As CEO of Word on the Streetz News, she’s featured on Iyanla Vanzant’s Fix My Life for personal growth stories, and in 2022, she appeared on WE tv’s Commit or Quit with fiancée Correy Maxwell, navigating relationship challenges under Judge Lynn Toler’s guidance. With her bold fashion sense and straight-shooter vibe, Mz. Shyneka remains a powerhouse voice in Black entertainment, dishing the hottest tea while mentoring the next generation.
Shawty Shawty
Shawty Shawty, also known as Shawty the Comedian, is a high-energy Atlanta-based comedian, actor, and radio co-host renowned for his dynamic stage presence, raw humor, and ability to connect with audiences through relatable, street-smart comedy. A standout in the comedy circuit, he has toured nationally with heavyweights like Katt Williams, Kevin Hart, and D.L. Hughley, earning acclaim for his unpredictable sets that blend hip-hop culture, family antics, and Atlanta flair. Shawty broke into television as a cast member on MTV’s Wild ‘N Out, showcasing his improvisational skills and quick wit alongside Nick Cannon and a roster of comedy stars.
Transitioning seamlessly into radio, he joined Streetz 94.5 in 2016 as a key co-host on The Streetz Morning Takeover—initially alongside Yung Joc and Mo Quick—bringing his chaotic energy to segments like “Shawty’s Crazy Report,” where he dives into the wildest viral stories with unfiltered rants and crowd-pleasing laughs. Under his leadership, the show secured a two-year extension in 2019 (through 2021) and went national via Superadio Networks in 2020, dominating Atlanta’s hip-hop mornings and expanding to markets like Louisville. As the show’s wildcard, Shawty’s signature style—part hype man, part provocateur—infuses every broadcast with authentic urban commentary, relationship roasts, and celebrity takedowns, making him an indispensable part of the crew that keeps listeners locked in from 6-10 a.m. Beyond the mic, he’s a cultural tastemaker whose infectious personality continues to light up stages and screens across the South.
